The Continuing Pursuit for Migraine Elimination and Pain Reduction

12 Stress Busting Tips for Christmas

Tip Number One: Plan Ahead. Planning is so important around this time of year. You never know when the next migraine will strike. So here are some ideas to help you plan ahead.

I wanted to send out 12 tips for 12 days for surviving Christmas better this year but my husband said that would drive you all crazy. I wanted to inspire you each day, but we really do get a lot in our inbox's already.

Anyway, he won! Read the first full article at Migraine Headaches and Holidays Stress Busting Tips for Christmas.

Also Bob Burgs recent book “Adversaries into Allies: Win People Over Without Manipulation or Coercion” has some really great principals that I think we can use.

Here are some action strategies that Bob Burg suggests in his book.

What Can We Do Now To Avoid Conflict?

An action strategy Mr. Burg says is to rehearse and visualise the results you want. So practice makes perfect. Yes.

You know what and who pushes your buttons. Recall what you used to do and how you used to react (and to whom!). And then visualise what you would like to do or say.

See yourself being calm, listening to them and taking a moment to decide just what to do. I often say to remember this word PAUSE.

"Its OK for me to pause now" I say silently to myself.

Learn to respond instead of react. Bob mentions how Astronauts do a significant number of simulations before actually going up into space. I loved this … so, practice … practice … practice. (pg.35)

I highly recommend reading Cynthia Perkin's Mindfulness Over Migraines e-book that explains the science behind mindfulness and why it helps migraines. And she explains the method step by step that she uses to eliminate her migraines in 15 minutes. Yes, you read that correctly ... eliminate in 15 minutes. It will be the best $6.99 you ever spend!

Timing is everything when aborting a migraine attack.

Wild Divine Biofeedback is an essential part of keeping my migraines at bay. This biofeedback training system will make the perfect Christmas gift for any migraine sufferer. Learning to control breath and body temperature will assist in reducing migraines. Meditation is proven to reduce migraine attacks. This will teach you all of that. I love mine.

Dr. Amy Myers Elimination Diet eCourse is now an essential part of our tool kit. I know it is vital to find our migraine food triggers, and avoid them where ever possible. Dr. Myers is an autoimmune expert. Just what we need! This e-course will guide you every step of the way.

Share Your Migraine Stories

Remember that your contribution will help others too! We are not in this alone, even though it feels like it most of the time. Our stories and input can help each other.

For example, I heard about Naramig from a Shiatsu patient of mine, not my doctor or any of the specialists I had seen! Two years after triptans came on the market. Two years of needless suffering.

This is a safe place to share your challenges and tell your story to people who truly understand what you are going through. Share your art to inspire us all in our time of need.

Find solutions with new treatment ideas specific to migraine disease, and get some professional health advice from others that walk this path. Just click on the links underlined above if you would like more details.
