Triptans Today!

Triptans, Nondrug Relief, NDPH & Breakthrough Treatments – Day 5

I just watched the interview on Triptans, and I was surprised that Patricia Pozo-Rosich, MD, PhD said that migraines are still under treated and under diagnosed. And that migraine specific drugs are still under prescribed.

"We need to lose this fear that these drugs are too strong." They've been around for 30 years - since the late 1990's and are still under used.

One thing I found amazing was that Triptans can also be taken with Gepants! There were a few ah hah moments for me - like you can take a triptan while pregnant and breast feeding! NOT the other associated meds, but the triptan is safe. WOW!

If you have 30 minutes today... you can still watch for free.
