Register Now: It's Coming soon: The 2020 Migraine World Summit
February 29, 2020
What's New & What's Next!
I’ve been away for a while experimenting with a few things over the past few months. A new diet to increase energy and tame down that fight, flight response from 26+ years of migraine attacks.
And a new program for retraining my limbic system to help do the same – change the automatic stress response.
In those few short months 2 NEW drugs have come on the scene:
#1 - VYEPTI for Migraine Prevention Approved by FDA
On February 21, 2020, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved VYEPTI (eptinezumab-jjmr) for use in the prevention of episodic and chronic Migraine attacks. Vyepti is an anti-CGRP (calcitonin gene-related peptide) monoclonal antibody.
It is the first and only migraine prevention treatment available as an infusion.
Eptinezumab joins Emgality (galcanezumab), Ajovy (fremanezumab), and Aimovig (erenumab) as the fourth anti-CGRP drug on the market to prevent Migraine attacks.
AND #2 - THE first acute medication that works by blocking CGRP, Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) was approved by the FDA in December 2019. More acute meds in this ‘gepant’ category are expected to come on the market in the coming years.
And there are more migraine drugs being investigated. All good news for us.
In just a few short months fantastic progress has been made. A beacon of hope for you to persevere if you’ve not yet found effective pain relief.
And there’s this IMPORTANT event! DO NOT MISS IT!!!
